The Wicked Witch of the South-West

Here in Iceland we don't do anything special for Halloween. So I think I am the only person here in Grindavik that puts up some decorations... I have the skeletons hanging in the living room, ghosts and bats all over the place and am having a family party in the weekend. Grindavik is not a big town (only about 2700 people live here) so it takes very little to get people talking about you. I guess from here on I will be known as "the Witch". Well I don't mind being a witch, at least it is a change from being "the Bitch"...

Some of my UK friends have contacted me to ask if I am OK - refering to the finacial situation here. All I can say is... Thanks to you all for your concern. Ofcourse it is very bad for some families as hundreds of people are loosing their jobs, many have lost their live savings ect. but in my case... I'm fine. I had no money therefore I had no money to loose :-). But I have my job, my health, my healty kids, my family and friends plus I live in the best place ever...

We have the most beautiful girls in the world.

We have the strongest men in the world

And.....

This is Grindavík

It may be cold. It may have a dead currency. It may have the darkest nights.

BUT...

At the moment I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Chao....
